I am wanting to do acrylic with a black background, with gold leaf on.
I was thinking of doing gel polish on top of acrylic curing and finishing then adding the gold leaf into a layer of soakable hard gel? What do you think?? X

Why don't u use thin layer of black acrylic for ur base and then put the gold leaf through another layer of clear acrylic x

It doesn't seem to go into the gel polish properly need something more heavy duty lol xx

You need to think about the rebalance.

If you do any of the ways above you will have to practically take the nails off (or at least buff 90% off) to rebalance them. If i was you I would complete your acrylic nails, then use a gel polish in black to over them, stick the gold leaf the inhibition layer and top coat using a gel polish top coat.

It's not advisable to put hard gel over soft gel, it will crack.
