Hey ladies and gents!
I'm after some opinions on whether it would be advisable for me to work from home. I currently offer Hopi ear candles, Indian head massage and spray tanning. I've contacted quite a few salons and clinics about renting a therapy room and all of them seem to want to rent to someone on a full-time basis. I completely understand their reasons for this but it won't suit me as I'm relatively new to this line of work and have yet to build up a client base. A friend of mine is in the process of buying a hair salon so in about 6 months I'll be able to rent a room from him on a basis to suit me.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to work from home. However, I don't have a room that I can use as a therapy room. My living room is light and spacious and has plenty of room for me to set up and use my equipment. I'm slightly worried that clients would be put off by the fact that I work from my living room! It's clean and tidy and obviously I'd hide any "clutter" when I have a booking, but it's still a living room and I'm worried that this might not look as professional as clients would want?
Advice much appreciated!
