I was fully booked so my friend went to a NSS and so I don't really know what product they have used. Not only that but they used the nail drill on her natural nails and she said one bled and hurt. So now I'm worried about removing them because I don't want to make them worse but I need to do them or she will pick them of so thats going to definatly be worse. Any advice?

I know it sounds formal as she's your friend but get her to sign a disclaimer to say that you can't guarantee the condition of nails after removal. Debulk with your file as much as possible then remove with acetone as normal. Be prepared for it to take longer than EMA removal but obviously you need to charge accordingly. I always wear gloves when removing anyone else's nails incase of overexposure; and also you can never know what product is on them just by looking.

you would be far better not to remove them and rebalance them as normal.

removing them will mean they must undergo prep again which will further thin the damaged nail plates. its much healthier to leave them as is, but file them to thin them out and use your product to gradually replace the other salons product.

I agree with Angel Fingers :)

Well thats what I advised origionally but she is adiment that she doesn't want nails on anymore and wants them taking of so she doesnt want a new set after justher natural nails

I would not remove either. Just keep rebalancing, give the nail plate the chance to grow out the damaged nail.

:D

I would also NOT remove them, if they bled and hurt when they were being applied, they're probably going to be in terrible condition when you remove them. If she's wanting to go natural i would file down the bulk of the product and remove the lengh. You could rebalance them and just keep a short nno until the damage underneath has grown out, and THEN remove them. If she is adamant on not having enhancements I would still remove the length and debulk the product, and advice her to come in for weekly manicures while she lets the product "grow off". I would flat out refuse to remove them, explain to her that its for her own good and the acrylic will act like a "coat of armor" to her possibly horribly damanged nails while her new healty nails are growing out. She should respect your professional opinion enough to suck it up and keep the stuff on for that long! If not she can go somewhere else and have them removed!

I removed them in the end as thats what she wanted. They weren't as bad as I expected under but they were still rather thin

how long did it take you? I had one last night nearly 2hrs? and that was with my easy soak bath

Took about an hour they weren't as bad as I had expected
