Hi geeks :)

I was wondering if any of you would know if I can place a new name on my website?

Let me see if I can explain myself properly!

I already have a website which is called Urabn Nails (it goes to Beauty Fusions)Beauty Fusions Home Page which I registered a few months ago with godaddy. I was originally going to just be doing nails but I now also provide waxing and tanning services and have changed my business name to Beauty Fusions.

I wondered if there was any way I can change my domain name so it reads beautyfusions.com/co.uk so it's the same as my business name?

Would I have to buy a new domain and then link it somehow to my urban nails site? I assume I would but how do I link it so if I change the name on my literature, it gose to the original site?

I've tried looking on the godaddy site but can't see anything on there that would help me and I already did a search here too.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated as I am intending on updating my literature soon and don't want to put the UB site on there because I think it's confusing saying 'Hi I'm Sarah from Beauty Fusions, but for more info go to my website Urban Nails'!

Thanks geeks :)

xx

Just buy the new domain name and point it towards your site. Change the name on your site to the new name and when it's time to get your new price lists done, use the new name. Then have the original domain name (the one you have now) as the sub domain.

It's quite common for larger companies to have loads of sub domains leading to the one site. xxx

Thanks Kim

go into domain manager for your old domain name and reflect it to your new domain name ... are you in the UK or US?

Red Sadie is in the UK

Thanks guys :)

Yes I am in the UK Carl. I was looking at beauty-fusions as .co.uk/.com/.net/.info etc are all available if I have the hyphen I'll have beautyfusions.co.uk too :green:

So I just go into my domain manager, buy a new domain (or 6!) and change it in there?

xx
