Hi guys...

I am mobile nail technician and I've been qualified just over a year now so thought it would be good to start to introduce another treatment to my price list and thought spray tanning would be a good option.
For years I have used St tropez on myself and love it so straight away decided that this was the product in which I would train with, until I did some research and came across Xen tan.
I was just wondering if any of you guys had any preference and knew which one was better and more natural looking?
Thanks in advance.

Jodi

I've always used St tropez and had a Xen Tan Tan Yesterday, I was rather dissapointed actually.

I would have a Xen Tan Spray tan first yourself before you make any desicions. The Xen tan did look nice and natural, but just wasnt what I was expecting which was a deep, bronze tan like St Tropez. Xen tan was more like a natural glow, which is good if thats what you are after. I cant comment on the training, but I've trained with St Tropez and the training was really good.

Thanks for your quick response. Can I ask wher you trained?
To be honest I called St tropez and they were the ones that put me off!!
The training didn't sound that great and you have to open an account minimum spend of £500 but they won't send you a price list etc of products so that I can figure out costs etc before commiting!!

Hi there, just noticed your post. Xen-Tan have lots of training that might be of interest to you and if you would like more information on colours, prices or would just like a chat about your options then you can call the head office, 0844 800 7661 or email [email protected]. Hope this helps. Thanks xx

I have never had either of these in a spray tan, but from the bottle I definately prefer xen-tan, its a gorgeous colour and in my opinion doesn't look as "fake" as st tropez.

hi, i have had a st tropez spray tan. it was ok and think it looked a little too fake. i was going to use st tropez in my mobile spray tanning business but you had to order a minimum of £250.00 which put me off.
when i did my training we used xen-tan. i had not really heard of this make before. i must say i was well impressed! the smell was fab and the result was really natural. it also fades quite well. it is more expensive than some of the other solutions out there but it is worth it in my opinion.
the only thing i would say is that if a client wants to be really dark, i would add booster drops!!

Hi,

I used st tropez airbrush for years in my previous salon and I now work from home, about half a mile away from the salon so I wanted something different. So I had looked around and really liked xen-tan. I'm going to have a tan first before I go for it because it is more money than a lot of others so don't want to waste my money.

Hi

I FINALLY got sent some info from St Tropez last week - months after contacting them. I'd actually forgotten about it. I'm still very tempted by their spray tan package. I've got training booked with Sienna X in November but there are a lot of people offering it in my area. I love it but want to be able to compete and not just on price.

Taking into account that St Tropez is more expensive for us to buy, how much do you spray tanning geeks charge for it please?

Tvm x

I Used to never have a bad word said about st tropez weather they have changed hands or what i find i go a bit orange with it as im quite fair but xen tan i use it in my salon and its FAB and lasts what it says it lasts x

i have a sample of Xen Tan to use so shall return with my findings soon! i used to use st tropez self tan which was nice also but id never do a manual tan now i d spray tanning! and dont think id fork out lots more just because its st tropez! xen has fab reviews! although QUITE pricey!, given that some therapists only charge £10 for a tan due to competition in the area! personally i charge £15 but most around here charge £10! :)

Blimey £10!! It's funny - you can see on here how there are hot spots around the country for things like tanning and lashes where there's all this competition and prices being slashed. But then it's completely different in other areas!x
