Hey you nail geeks!!! just need a bit of help i have recently infiled my friends nails L&P and they have turned a yellow colour at the top where i have infilled... any advise on why this has happened please?? where am i going wrong aaaahhh

xxxxx

Did you use the same product to infill?

Some products when exposed to UV light / sunlight can go yellow.

Is this the only client that this has happened to?

yeah i used the same product and it is the first time that htis has happened,, i use michelle porters products they are normally really good xx

Perhaps your brush is contaminated and has old product in it.

I'm sure you can remedy this by cleaning your brush (if it is infact this) but I'm not quite sure of the procedure.

yep, sounds like contamination. you will need to remove product and start again.

Sorry for this but I'm so chuffed that I may actually be right. It shows that I am actually learning something for all the hours I spend on here reading...

only if I have it right too..lol:hug:
I had this myself a while ago when I tried to reuse an old brush that had been sitting for a while.

if it's at the top (more toward the free-edge), rather than the bottom (where you have just applied), it's more than likely you didn't prepare the old nail surface correctly.

If it is in fact contamination can you actually save the brush or does this mean the brush has to be thrown away.

I only ask because I have a contaminated brush myself!

also it could be primer ( if you use it) as this can cause yellowing if you have got it on the existing product instead of just the natural nail only
