Yet another virus warning! (not a hoax one)

Last time I posted a warning regarding an email I received which 'appeared' to come from Symantec - it didn't, and luckily I picked it up in Mailwasher and deleted it before I downloaded it.

Just received another one......

It 'appears' to have come from Microsoft, the email address is:

[email protected]

and the title is:

Alert! New Sober Worm

There is an attachment and the contents of the email are:

ATTENTION!

Antivirus vendors are warning of a new variant of the "Sober" virus discovered today that can delete the hard disk.

Protection:
Download and read the zipped patch. It's very easy to install!

DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHED FILE AS IT REQUESTS YOU TO DO!

It's trying to make out that is has been scanned for viruses and is clear, it's telling porkies!

Delete it as soon as you get it - if you do.

Forgive me for bumping this one up - just wanted to make sure as many people as possible see it while it's doing the rounds. Here are some links about the virus:

Please be careful when opening emails from unknown sources, even when it sounds official like this one, supposedly from Microsoft!

Thanks Jackie. I used to get all this type of info when I worked in the office - its nice to know someone is on the lookout.
