Is frosted pink an opaque powder?

It sounds as if you are dragging the pink over the white and causing this shadow. Using the other powders will not show as much as this one. Reverse application would certainly solve the problem. :)

if its between zone 2 and 3, ie centre and cuticle area,
i'd say that your problem is because your mix ratio is coming out slightly different for each bead and thus there is a colour difference between the 2.

when using an opaque powder its important to lay the bead down and then feather out the edge of it into the natural nail and then lay your second bead and feather the edge of it back on to the previous one so that they overlap a bit like rooftiles.
either that or place your pink all in a single bead.

this as well as being very aware of your mix ratio really helps minimise the problem and should sort out the issues you are having.:)

yes it is opaque the shadow i'm getting is between the 2 pink beads but i do understand what you mean sheila and thanks

thanks susan i'd NEVER have have worked that one out lol i'll give that a try and thanks again

Sorry I answered that like a plank! I didn't read the zone 2 and 3 bit! I agree with feathering out the bead before placing the other. Reverse would work better if you can manage with one large bead. :)

ok i understand this now ,thanks everyone

The reason I get this is that I make the smile line look like / and and not like this l if I don't do a reverse application. so the pink comes in and fills the angle of the / and not stopping at the l so that I can cap in clear. LOL I hope that makes since! :green:
