Hi all,

I invested in a one bulb (9watt) uv lamp and brought the above topcoat. YN advise the setting time as 30 secs - but this is with there 36watt lamp. So I cure it for 2 mins in mine. However after a few days I have noticed some cracks etc. Does anyone else use this product? Can you let me know how long you cure it for and what lamp you have. The shine is fantastic, but I feel I may be curing it for too long. Also if I only cure for 30 secs it seems to be still tacky.!!!

Many tks,

The best thing to do (IMO) is to get the UV lamp that Young Nails recommends to be used with their gel/topcoat.

Does the Finish Gel have an inhibition layer after curing?

Hopefully one of our Young Nails techs will see your post and be able to help more.

I cure mine for 2 mins hun, are you swiping away dust and debris with swipe before applying. just a thought

I use it and have no problems. Cure it for 2 minutes with their 36w lamp. I have never heard 30sec curing time though...90 sec is what i know. My lamp has a 2min timer so i just let the nails be there for that time.
Finish can crack is applyied over a soft soak off gel...

Hi Mrs T

YN Finish Gel is designed to be used with the 36watt lamp and will cure in 90 seconds with no tackyness. Like the other have already said I tend to do the 2mins.

If you are using the YN Finish Gel with a 9watt lamp the best thing I can suggest to you is to cure the nails for a full 3mins. This sould help the problem you are having with the tackyness.

:hug:Tracey

I would do as sparklybits does but also the thumbs seperately as 9wts are usually strip lamps and dont really cure the sides. Apply the product thinly as you do not have the correct lamp and that may be the cause of the cracking

Thanks honey I i didnt mention that bit lol:lol:

My advice is to follow the manufacturers advice/recommendation ........ (including lamp),

after all, they know what they are talking about and how their product was designed.

No point complaining if you don't follow basic directions.

Hi I use the YN Finish gel and the 9wt lamp (Im sure that YN sell this with finish gel aswell) I normally cure for 90sec - 2 mins and I have no problems. You may be applying too thick hence the reason it is not curing in the same time frame. Have had no cracks though hth. xx:lol:

Did you check out your uvbulbs? i have like 5 different lamps and they all cure young nails without any problem.
