Hello,
I just really want to know what is standard pay for a therapist with around 6 years experience with a lot of additional training.
I’m currently on £8 an hour which I’m starting to think is a bit pathetic. Especially as we are managing the salon ourselves!
Please don’t be shy, I really need to know as I’ve previously turned down a job of £19000 a year when my boss told me she’d give me a pay rise back in September...
TIA

I feel like £8 an hour and £19000 is what may therapists would be happy to be on. Unfortunately it’s a low paid industry if you’re employed

£8 an hour seems quite low after 6 years, what's the minimum wage in UK? Do you get any comission?

Minimum wage is lower in the UK than in Ireland.

Go self employed best thing ever you only need to excel in your most favourite treatments to make a really good living of part time hours but with a full time wage.
