Hi all, who has been your worst ever client and why?

and how did you cope with the situation?

I dare not post it on here in case she ever found this site and reads it!!

why dont you re phrase this and ask what peoples toughest challenge with a client has been?

I am totally with you on this one, lol. Some of them are really visious)))

The biggest challenge is when clients are telling you what to do as if you dont have a scooby dobedo what you are doing)))

I had a couple when I just felt like saying - "well, madam, here is a brush and a file - DO IT YOURSELF". But instead I smile, keep calm, do what I love to bits, simply because she is a client, and she is paying money, hence she is always right)

I used to think a certain client was my worst, but I think back now and she was probably my best client.

I first saw her in my first week of my first salon job. She wasn't really horrible to me, but was very fussy. As soon as she sat down she started telling me exactly what to do and how to do it. Also, she once told me she would be too embarassed to be seen in public if I didn't fix her nails.

It upset me at the time, but now I think it was great that she would tell me what she expected and would give me a chance to fix it if she wasn't happy (rather than leave unhappy and complain to everyone she knew).

She became a regular though, wouldn't see anyone exept me. I used to dread when I saw her name in the appointment book, but now I like clients like her.

She did do one really bad thing though. I had to leave the room for a minute one day. When I came back in she had the cuticle nippers and was doing her own nails. She liked her old salon better where they used to cut all her cuticle off she told me. I had refused to do it, so she was doing it herself:eek::grr:

edited to add: I guess what I'm trying to say is even though it seems awful at the time, when you look back it really wasn't that bad.
