Hi, I’m really anxious about this Coronavirus situation. I have a young family and husband with asthma at home. I’ve came into work this morning (as I work in a hotel) and found out I have 3 full body massages today. I just had a meltdown as do not feel that hand washing is enough protection from someone breathing on you in a small salon with no windows/ventilation. I would like to know what other therapists are doin

Hi Gwen I'm panicking too! The thought of my business in ruins is freaking me out. All I'm doing is messaging every client the day before they at booked to check if they have symptoms or been away. I've been cleaning every time I can and thoroughly barbiciding tools.
I've been keeping an eye on the gov website about the £3000 they are proposing to give to small businesses X

I’ve stopped working!

I was doing the PPE but other countries are advising no close contact. I personally think our government is being too chill about it. Us and cashiers are at the brunt and will be the ones who get this first.
Hi guys so I’m new too the nail business.. and I was wondering what’s the best way too take off gel from natural nail without damaging them, at the moment I use a file but I feel like I’m damaging the nails underneath.. help please!!

I’ve put hard gel on and then covered with gel polish colour, and no it never was which I was surprised about myself. I only did level 2 nails as it was my last free year in college and I couldn’t afford level 3

Hard gel can only be removed by filing, leaving a thin layer so as not to file too far and damage the nail plate, or with an e-file, which you will appreciate requires specific training.

I 100% beleive you can do this :) it really isnt hard its all about confidence,,, so i have been doing nails and acrylics for 7 years ish.. and i soft drill the gel polish colour off then wrap with ready made wraps with 100% acetone to soften the hard gel for 15 mins, then soft drill untill a very thin layer of hard gel is left. then cuticle work and buff then your ready too reapply your gel polish
Hi everyone i have just finished my training in manicure pedicure gel nails and gel extensions going to be doing it from home to fit around the kids i will also be doing beauty when i can afford any ideas for a name for my new adventure pls

Eyebrow tint gone wrong!
Before Christmas i did a regular clients eyebrow tint for the first time, and had patch tested which was fine. I have just found out when the client returned for lashes today she had an alergic reaction and i have seen pictures, the skin was red and slightly swolen. Im concerned she may take this further. Any advice

Maybe ring your insurance and see what they say? Personally I wouldn't be too worried.. do you have a record of the patch test? You did everything you can - if she didn't have a reaction to the patch test it may not even be the tint shes reacted to? She could have used a new brow product at home maybe?

At the end of the day she should have told you there and then. Instead of coming back for another treatment and moaning about it. Maybe she wasn't too bothered about it but thought she would mention it hoping for a discount on the lashes?

That’s why we patch test. You can’t sue for an allergy to a patch test.

If she lied to get the tint done then she’s the idiot.

Stop contact and say you’ve been advised not to discuss it directly and that she must deal directly with your insurers.

It’s very simple. Call insurer. Send consult and patch test forms and all text messages and evidence. A loss adjuster will come to the house.
Hi Deborah, do you still offer prescriber services, im messaging on behalf of my employer, she is registered nurse, we currently use a prescriber but is very unreliable, and currently letting our patients down x

How can I migrate from Zenoti to Miosalon Software?
J
janine_yot
Most good software companies have the ability to convert from many other systems, so you would need to contact Miosalon and ask them.
Hi can anyone suggest the best lashes and glue used for semi lashes
