im thinking about dropping makeup and nails from my menu and just specialising in lashes
the reason for this is shellac and minx has not been all that popular for me, there are so many others doing it locally there is a bit of a price war going on - one other girl has stopped doing shellac also and the others although busy are charging just £15 which im not prepared to do
ive decided to give my makeup kit to my daughter as she is now training in make up, to be honest although it was a long time dream of mine i no longer enjoy it as much as i did - lashing is now my passion, now ive cracked the different styles and got my speed up
i wondered if any of you did lashes esxclusively, and if so do you charge a little more for being a 'specialist' in the field so to speak.
im going to have to pay for childcare so need to know i can make it work, just wondered approx how many sets of lashes and infills i can do in an average week. can you tell im working out a new business plan, lol

I think you can do anything you put your mind to, you are slightly narrowing your market, however if you promote yourself as 'specialist' that would certainly appeal to a specific profile.

I would say be realistic in looking at how long it would take to get a regular client base if your prices are slightly higher but depending on the demograqphic of your area I see know reason why you couldnt make it work.

I think you would need to build a very strong brand and be careful how and where you promote to get the best return on your advertising budget.

If you dont try youll never know go for I say make it work!!

thank you for your encouraging words, i know it wont be easy but plan to give it a go x
