Hi, i have just purchased an ultrasonic cleaner. does anyone know if its ok to add barbicide to the medical cleaning fluid or to use barbicide as an alternative to the cleaning fluid for the machine?

I would ask the manufacturer.
If you bought it online via the States, don't forget the voltage will be different, so it may not be safe to use in the UK.

Im not sure about barbicide. I think you may soak instruments in that first prior to going in the ultrasonc. You need something which helps get the body matter off. We use rapidex. Then it come out and goes in the autoclave.

Rapidex? is that just a detergent or does it also disinfect?
