I agree with Loubylou.
However it all depends on your personal circumstances, i.e. what you can afford and how much time you have. Some people find it easier to take a day or two off from their current job and learn intensively, but some people prefer college one night a week.
It's actually a very hard choice, because intensive courses can be fantastic, and they can be hopeless. But 'ditto' courses at your local technical college!
I have done both, and both have been both good and bad. My advice would be to put your toe in the water with both, see how you get on.
My first ever course was Body Massage. (One evening per week for a year.) A couple of months into the course, I thought, 'I can do this!' so I signed myself up for an intensive course, got a certificate, was able to get insurance and start charging, but at the same time, carried on with my VTCT. I have done this for nearly every discipline I am qualified in!
