Beauty Therapist/Nail Technician questions asked at interview

Hi

I have just registered, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am opening a tanning and beauty salon (1st Oct) and I am interviewing next week for experience nail technicians and beauty therapists.

I need your help please.

I am not in "the trade" this is a new business so any help would be grateful appreciated.

I need to know what sort of questions I need to ask the Nail Techician and the beauty therapist at the interview.

I would find out who they trained with, how much experience they have, and check certificates.

Also you could ask them to give you a treatment - eg. manicure. This is the best test!

Customer Service Questions?

1. Tell me about a time you had a difficult customer and how did you deal with them?
2. Tell me about a time that you went above and beyond for a client.
3. Tell me about a time that you upgraded your clients treatment.
4. How would you ensure that your client went home with the correct homecare?
5. It's very busy in the salon, you have a queue of clients in the reception area and the telephone rings, what would you do?
