Hi
I have just started to promote my mobile business and am gaining clients but these are as and when I can fit them in rather than a regular source of income as I have a full time job too. My aim is when my contract ends in August that I will be able to earn enough to do my beauty work full time.
I am just wondering how to go about registering self employed. I earn way under the tax threshold so the takings I am earning are no where near enough for me to start to pay tax, however I know that I need to obviously still register.
I am in the process of working with the local chamber to compile a business plan too

Phone up HMRC and ask to register as sole trader.

Don't tell them you already do clients tho
