Black hair!

Hi I've had black hair for about 2 and a half years. I am desperate to go a lighter colour but no hairdressers will touch it. I've tried every hair stripping product on the shelf and nothing even lightens it a little. The only advice I've been given is to grow it out but I naturally have light brown hair and the roots just look terrible... Any advice on how to do it quickly would be amazing xx

A reputable salon should be able to assist you; if you have been refused it may be due to the condition of your hair or because the salon doesn't want to cause damage to it. X

An alternative would be to contact a local College, and see if there Hairdressing Dept would do a Colour Correction on you.
