Blonde help!

I am qualified in level 2 hairdressing and have been asked by a customer to dye her hair ash blonde. She currently has bleach blonde which has a mixture of some gold tones. She also has about an inch of re growth which is around a 5 or 6.
I have very limited experience of dying over blonde and need some advice on how to achieve this. I'm thinking high lift tint on the roots?!
