I need a brazillian and the therapist who I employ hasnt trained in them and so i need her to see a tutorial of how its done, otherwise I have to go to another salon, which isnt good for business!

If somone could post a Tutorial, illustrated would be good but probably not possible (hehe).

Can you also tell me if there are certain courses a therapist must train through to perform brazillian/hollywood waxes? She is qualified to level 2 standard so maybe they cover this in Level 3??

She needs an intimate waxing qualification,
for some of the best training you can find you need to contact the wax queen on here hth

wax queen???? link?

I have been down to London this weekend doing a Female Brazilian course with Kimmi aka THE WAX QUEEN. I have been waxing for 4 years now and I did a male brazilian wax course two weeks ago with Andy aka Axion which was quite daunting.. but today I felt the procedure on a female was so much more complicated. Kim was excellent as expected and thanks to Tracey and Sasha giving up their day I was able to have some excellent tuition and practice.

I REALLY dont think you can learn this from video, pictures alone... it is so necessary to have some hands on tuition for this procedure.

I couldn't agree more, the thought of someone trying to tackle this most delicate of skin area's without doing a proper course,is quiet scary from a customer point of view.

well i only need a tutorial for my therapist - who is actually trained in bikini waxing - to do me before I go on holiday (i employ her) and she wont be using it in clients as we both agree she needs proper training for insurance reasons.

Why does she need a tutorial if she is trained in brazillian waxing?

Learning a Brazilian from a video :irked:
And you want to be a willing victim ....
Now I've seen it all

Going to another salon maybe a better option, at least then you will be in experienced hands.

This could be the equivalent to infibulation if you are not careful.

Why not go to someone qualified?

I've had training in bikini waxing and when I am a qualified therapist, there is no way I would attempt a Brazillian without the correct training.

Rather pay for a Brazillian wax with a trained therapist and then when you return from your holiday, it may be an idea to send your employee on a Brazillian training course.

I would never attempt to do a brazillian without training, I was the model (Sacha's my real name, Hajam is my two boys named mixed) and it made me realise that I don't think I have ever had a proper waxing before. Kim is just fantastic and very patient! I would never have anyone put wax on my private regions that doesn't know what they are doing as you never know what might happen, training is just essential!

Wow your brave

I've just had my training session in intimate waxing with Kim today and the amount of work involved in a good braz is unbelievable! Being good at general waxing isn't enough you need proper training in the ART of brazilian.

I'm sorry i don't think posting pictures or a walkthrough would help you any but i would highly recommend training with Kim!

To be honest, it doesn't really matter what levels she's qualified to as she's either got what it takes do a do a real Braz or she hasn't.............and by the sounds of it, she hasn't.

I suggest you do one of two things.
1. Find a waxer who SPECIALISES in Braz/Hollywood waxing, also known as Intimate Waxing and go to her to get it done.
or
2. You pay for her to train with me in the art of Intimate Waxing.

Any time Jen !!!!

You did a great job on the legs by the way!!!

At this moment in time there is no level 3 course in waxing. However there is going to be, and it will cover both male and female intimate waxing so yes it is a level 3 course. This will be an optional unit.

There are many post graduate courses out there that cover female and male intimate waxing so if you are looking to do this for your staff make sure that your insurance company cover you as some do require you to have undertaken regognized training before you are covered. This does vary so check your insurance provider first.

Intimate waxing should always be carried out by technicians that are competent in waxing and also know what they are doing. The skin in the intimate areas is thin and delicate so they need to know how to perform the procedure correctly.

There are many accredited courses out there and you can always contact Habia, The Guild or Babtac for information on courses that they recommend.

I hope this helps !!!

Good luck

I dont trust anyone to do this on me but me! I only ever give myself a hollywood wax because I have seen so many disasters in my salon.

I have talked my employees through it before now and if they are confident then you will be ok, but I wouldnt do it before a holiday as they may bruise you!

If your still adamant look on ebay as people on there sell the gigi brazilian wax DVD, but its not that brilliant. I have my own brazilian training manual but you really need to know how to hold the skin and the positions to be in.

Your therapist might feel a bit nervous doing such intimate waxing and especially on her boss!! Is it really fair to put her in that position??

If you dont trust anyone else, then get the Nair out!! dosnt last as long as waxing, but will save you ending up torn, burnt or bruised on holiday and having to wear a sarong to cover up!

This was my thought exactly, its not a fair position to put your therapist. It has been said that she either has it or she doesn't but as she hasn't recieved any training for it that is not a fair comment.
Get the poor lass some training in brazilians if its a treatment you want in your salon and spend £20 to get it done before your holiday. x

Yes, there's nothing wrong in using another salon. Besides, it is good to check out the competition now and then to compare what everybody else is doing.

Do you still let your employees do this on the public if they are not good at it? If you don't trust them to wax you how can you trust them to wax their clients?
