We do love new product launches here at Salon Geek HQ and this week it's the turn of premium salon staple brand, Dermalogica. They are introducing two updated masques: Updated Skin Hydrating Masque and Updated Skin Refining Masque. We all know, especially at this time of year, how easy it is for our skin to become dehydrated and congested and, with their updated masques, Dermalogica are hoping to tackle these issues head on.

The products have been reformulated to include dynamic new botanical ingredients to enhance the effectiveness of the masques. The fancy new formulation for the Skin Refining Masque addresses two primary skin care issues: reducing oiliness and refining the appearance of pores, and the need for deep hydration. With ingredients such as earth clays and minerals, botanicals like Elijitsu Rose and Lential Seed extract, the masques provide astringent qualities while also refining skin texture by reducing pore size. Other purifying extract include Black Cumin Seed, Magnolia Bark Extract, and Chaulmoogra Oil.

And for parched skin, the Skin Hydrating masque is now more thirst-quenching than ever. A unique cross-linked Hyaluronic acid provides timed release moisturisation to skin, boosts moisture retention while Glasswort (Salicornia herbacea) improves cellular lipid production. Tomato Seed Oil provides thirsty skin with rich source of lycopene-rich lipids that help restore the protective barrier function and Lysine to promote plumper, more supple skin.

For those of you who stock Dermalogica, these products are available NOW.

Until then...geek on!
