Hello is anyone able to tell me if they have come across any ingredients that may effect longevity of Shellac?

I have attached a pic of some recent hand cream used.

Thank you

I've certainly found some high factor suncreams affect it, also anti ageing creams

Would be so good if we could isolate the exact ingredients that cause it though

Thanks blossom [emoji2] x

Dadi lotion is designed for use with gel polish. You could try retailing that, it soaks in brilliantly.

I have a feeling it's sunscreens & very greasy products like lanolin.

Thanks fluffycloudland I use CND so maybe it's a good idea to retail more of the creams I know are compatible x

I have found they do. One of my clients was using a Nivea hand cream and rubbing it in to her nails every day. Her shellac lifted off after a few days every time! She stopped using the hand cream and now she gets 2 weeks out of them.

Lanolin has been an issue for my clients over the years.

Vasaline hand lotion is a nightmare as is Johnsons Coco Butter.

No scientific evidence of the above just years of questioning clients who suffer service breakdown

Proof of the pudding and all that

This is something to explore further with my clients!!
