ISA Training in Brigdend, Wales has become the latest addition to the HSA's arsenal of Centres of Expertise. The Centre of Excellence programme is designed to accredit those centres offering the very best in industry training and ISA Training has been named a Centre of Expertise in Apprenticeships making it the first provider in Wales and the first in Work Based Learning (WBL).
The Centres of Expertise are a national network of education providers consistently delivery high-quality programmes. Any centre offering industry education can apply, regardless of the awarding organisation that they work with.
"We are absolutely delighted to receive this accreditation," says Sarah Heenan from ISA. "To become the first provider in Wales recognised for excellent quality of delivery in Hairdressing Apprenticeships from Habia is an honour. IT is amazing to have our hard work recognised and is a tribute to the enthusiasm and dedication of our staff, learners and employers."
Mark Izzard, who conducted the monitoring visit to ISA on behalf of Habia said, "ISA Training is an excellent organisation for Apprenticeships. My recent visit to them was an inspiration. All training and assessment is carried out in the workplace which makes the learning relevant to the learner and the salon business. ISA challenges learning and helps them truly understand the industry while helping them build strong skills, providing them with opportunities to see how the industry varies in different salons in the UK and Europe."
