While the industry has remained largely resilient, there are many that are still feeling the pinch. Because of this, it's always nice to hear of successful business stories - one that have heart and soul; ones that start off small with big ideas; ones that blossom. The story of RUSH - a chain that celebrates twenty years in business - is one such story.
In 1994 two hairdressers Andy Phouli and Stelios Stell Andrew with a passion for hair and big ambitions, opened their first RUSH salon in Wimbledon. Fast forward 20 years and they have a thriving network of sixty-one salons, a growing beauty salon empire and an ever-expanding team of world-class hair stylists and beauty therapists.
Their philosophy has not changed since the first day of opening. Everything we do is to make our clients experience the best and we have been lucky enough to have so many loyal clients that have supported the brand for all these years. Our motto is to serve the client doing hair the RUSH way says Stell.
The name for the salon group RUSH came from a newspaper headline it caught Andy's and Stells eye - and as RUSH was also the buzz word of the nineties party scenes, it was a perfect fit. Twelve salons was their target from the offset, and at sixty-one and counting, the group has grown beyond their wildest dreams. In fact RUSH is the fastest growing salon group in the UK and is currently exploring global opportunities.
Their flagship salon opened in Piccadilly in 2012 and perfectly showcases the RUSH passion for hair and beauty. With an acclaimed and award-winning postmodern interior, infused with a contemporary and glamorous twist, it style and luxury embodied.
