Help! I desperately need a curly hair expert!!

Hi to all of you hair geeks! Just thought i'd see if anyone knows of a hairdresser in the Derby area who knows what they're doing with naturally curly hair? I always ask before I book in anywhere if they can cut curly hair properly and they say yes no problem.....then, they say "well, i'll just straighten it this time to see how it's been cut"...then just do the cut as if it was a straight style - razoring/feathering etc and it looks terrible when I get home and wash it straight away!!! I really need help as I love my curls, but they don't look as good as they could! Thanks in advance x

Try Harvey Luke Haqir and ask for Natalie she is our Educator and we did have her for hair up and we were impressed by her knowledge her number is 01332 661 991 she has a salon in oakwood and spondon and chellaston if i recall

I don't know about Derby but Matt Surplice in Birmingham is absolutely FAB!

He specialisies in curly hair and people travel from all over to see him.

I've had so many occasions where people haven't realised how much the curls spring up when they're dry and I've gone home just wanting to cry
