I've got a little question about smile lines. How high do you guys place them up the nail?
I tend to place mine about 3mm up (towards cuticle) from the natural smile. This looks fine on most nails apart from clients with really short nail beds, these I place 1mm up from the naural smile.
This works fine for me and produces nicely balanced nails.
However, it does mean that I have to rebalance roughly every 4 weeks :irked:
I file off nearly all of the product and start again so that the natural smile is not peeping above my smile.
Does anyone work differently?

Thanks guys x
:Kissing:

Another quick question, along the same lines?

Does anyone use the CND Flawless pink powder to disguise a very short nail bed? If so does it still look natural?

xx thanks for your time

I don't measure mine lol................................
If the nail plate allows this, I go by the 2/3 pink to 1/3 white rule............
otherwise it can look so naff lol..............

Yes flawless pink looks natural, but keep the clients skin tone in mind, you can customize the powder by mixing it with a mosaic powder to create the right pink tone for your clients nails......
