How quick did you build up client base?

Out of curiosity how long did it take for you to grow your client base so that you were booked most of the time with regulars.
Also how busy are you this Xmas?
I am steady but was expecting to be rushed off my feet this week,I have been in business 14 mths.
Really interested to know how busy everyone else is

Hi I've been in this business 6 years & I think this year is the slowest yet? Very booked up with treatments but retail & vouchers are very low this year x

I've been doing nails 10 years now and this week am fully booked nose to tail from 8.30/9am to 8.30/9pm. I am working most of Saturday but am not working Christmas Eve.

As for how long it took to build a client base, I'd say about 2/3 years but then I work from home with no shopfront, no paid advertising just referrals really and the odd enquiry from Yell.com. I would expect to build a client base very much quicker in a salon situation.
