How to find staff?

Hi everyone,

We're looking for hair stylist for our second salon, iv tried so many ways to advertise- Facebook, Twitter, instergram, papers, window advertising, gumtree, salon geek, Internet ect, does anyone have any other ideas / tips to find staff?

Does anyone else have the same problem?

What type of hair? What is your salon? Is it a training salon, colour salon. e.t.c

It is hard to say otherwise as within hair their is so many sections for example If you are interested in someone who does both caucasian and Afro-Caribbean hair try Black hair magazines.

Go to colleges seek level 2/3 apprentices get them to do your hair in the training school. Many are adult learners and are AMAZING at hair/ going back to work after a break. That is my main suggestion.

What are you offering? What career progression can you give? Although poaching is frowned upon telling other stylist friends about what you hope to give or offer your staff may entice them to come work for you.
