can the salon dictate when I work and how many days I have off and what hours I work??

They are taking a percentage of what I earn instead of rent a room basis.

Can I take off as many Saturdays as I wish? And can I leave early if no clients are in? They're saying I have to stay......

Officially, no they can't however if you aren't working then, of course, they aren't earning so you may find they will replace you will someone who will stay late and work all the hours available.

This is why I always opted to rent rooms in my salon rather than work a complicated percentage system.
