Hey [emoji1366]

I really want to do Sally Durant’s level 4 qual. I was hoping to do this via a 19+ learner loan. Unfortunately this is only offered through London college of beauty therapy.

Has anyone done the Sally Durant course through LCBT? Is it good? Any info you may have would be really
Appreciated!

I understand it is using the Sally Durant resources but the teaching & practical side of things is the responsibility of the college.

Xx

Hey Beautiful-you,

Did you look into this anymore?
What are your thoughts?

I’ve had a bit of correspondence from them but they didn’t answer any questions I had, just sent generic info pack so I asked to speak to someone and was told to await a phone call and I’ve heard nothing! And no reply to email either. Strange.

Yes I did look into it and I did speak to one of the tutors who was really nice and helpful.

What I learnt was that you do all the theory at home and then go to LCBT for all the practical sessions (some are 1 day but a few are 2 days, so an overnight stay if you don't live locally). And there's also a theory exam. I think it could work out about 10 days in London if I remember rightly.

Although you can apply for the 19+ Learner Loan to pay for the course, you still need to pay for all the kit/equipment, which, depending which course you choose, can work out quite expensive. (I did make a note of all the details but haven't got them with me, but if you are interested PM me and I'll try and find them!)

As much as I'd love to do the course, for me, I'd want to do it closer to home so I could travel up and back easily each day. Staying in London is so expensive on top of the other expenses, so it's not quite right for me at the moment unfortunately. X

So sorry it totally slipped my mind to reply!
Thank you for your offer to send over details but I think I’m going to wait, I’ve decided I want to be trained by Sally Durant’s tutors so now scrimping and saving the pennies!
