Member discount- on gift vouchers?

Hi geeks,

I rent a salon within a health club, we have a standard 10% off treatments for members of the club. I was just wondering, if anyone else has a similar scheme do you offer that off gift vouchers too?

I wouldn't offer that on gift vouchers as it could be for a non member? Just not too sure how we could explain this to the member without them being confused or cross about it.

I used to do the same. If a member buys a voucher you just charge them the normal price. We have stopped doing vouchers for treatments and just do an amount as we find it a lot easier to track. When you do a treatment you can lose your 10% easily but when you sell a voucher it is just a straightforward like for like transaction. Hope that's helped!

However being Devils advocate would it be worth you losing the 10% for what could be a new client - just a thought x
