well reading the posting on mentors... where do i find these people... preferably in the reading, oxford, bristol area? i'd love a 121 with someone to put me right, I would have gone to Debs... but she's a little too far for me

We ask ourselves the same question hun. is about meeting these people at shows or training courses and striking a raport with them. Asking around about people experiences with them and then making an educated choice as to who and what style you want to follow.
Its not easy either i spent two hours after Oylmpia with Debs and Nailnovice (chris) arguing the various plus and minus's for diferent people and travel time and costs. But i think once you put that trust in someone then the sky is your limit.
