MUAs how far in advance do you take wedding bookings

I was just wondering how far in advance other makeup artists take wedding bookings?

I have wedding s booked in for 2015

I take them as far ahead as the client wants - but I also take a £50 deposit, just in case, suddenly their mate can do it for free!!!

The only other thing I would add is that I never do the trial too far in advance because the only time I did, she couldn't remember what it was like and wanted another trial. She paid for it, but I just found it a waste of my time x

Thanks for your replies. I normally book a year in advance, however I have had a couple wanting to book for 2015 but felt uncomfortable taking booking that far in advance
