One of my clients has rung to say she has broken a nail really low down and it's painful. I'm going to see her tonight, but just want to check whether it is ok for me to re-tip & overlay or not? From what she said the broken part has come away rather than jsut being split. She wants it repaired - is it ok to repair?

Thanks for any advice.

I would say yes as long as she is not in any real pain and you can't cause any further damage!

Would she not rather wait until the soreness has gone?

I might well suggest that when I see her tonight! I will go though 'cos she's a bit sensitive about nail techs! She had her nails done by a mobile tech, booked for a rebalance and the tech didn't show up. When she rang the tech said she was busy and would ring when she had a space!!! Needless to say she didn't ring at all & when the client rang me her nails were in an awful state.....

So I'll go and see what it looks like, but I might prescribe Solar Oil & tlc for a week or so....

Thanks,
