Please help!!

I am qualified to do permanent make up & know the rules of mixing the correct pigments to prevent the change of colour over the years as the pigment fades.

BUT i have an elderly lady who has come to me after having her brows done elsewhere and they are now red from once been brown.

She would like them going over, but as the years have gone on she has changed her hair colour to a very white blonde, so in respects of being able to go over with a darker colour is near impossible?

Any suggestions as to what would be the best thing/colour to use?

REALLY GREATFULL for help!!!!

Ok doll. Choose the brown she'd like but go a little darker as you'll lose a lot of pigment in the first couple of weeks. Mix a tiny drop of green to kill the red. Her brows won't look green so don't worry. This does happen a lot, even with pigments that say it won't.

If someone comes to you with blue brows, go over them in neat orange and as they heal, they'll turn a lovely brown. Voila!

Make sure you make a note of the red in her brows and take your photo's and get her to sign that they were red when she came to you.

Call your training company and ask what they think too. xxx

Thank you!!!

Hiya,

Your not another Jenny in the Midlands are you? if not who are you and who trained you?
No mane at the bottom of your thread, just curious????

Your client has had some bad luck, this is the problem that really rocks my boat, like a storm on the ocean. some techs are very BAD at clour choice..even thought they maybe good at artistry. This is the most importnat thing to remember when choice of technician thet they have experience in colour, like every artist a permanent cosmetc artist is no different we all need a pallet of colour...how we use them is a different thing. Brows and lips can look fantastic when leaving the salon...but this colour will fade into the most ugly of colours if not mixed in a correct tone for your individual skin type.

Green base pigments will cancel out red tones, you should have a collection of light and dark green base pigments in your collection of colours, your colour wheel will display this, it is also a basic knowledge of colour theory for a cosmetic consultant. Please ask for advise before you try to correct this client, you could end up with more problems than you started with, ask your trainer for advise, send them images of your clients skin tones if your unsure. If you do not follow your trainers advise and are not insured to carry out correction work, you may not be able to treat this client.

Correction work is an advanced skill, is this something that you have had training for?

How long is it since you trained.

We all have to start correction work at some point in our careers. so good luck
any questions please feel free to ask.
