I'm not big on nail art but after seeing the great work that you guys do I thought I would give it a go.I tried to do the marbeling thing but as soon as the drops of polish fell onto the water it formed a skin immediately. Does it matter what sort of cup I used, what went wrong?

Hiya Tilly,
It doesnt matter what sort of cup you use... what matters is the temperature of the water.
If the water is cold the polish will skin on contact... make sure you get the water room temp...or even tepid.
Hth.
