Yes. I do it all the time up to due date and beyond.
Don't have them lying flat on the bed - raise the head of your bed a little. Have a glass of water nearby for them. Work fast, you don't want them lying down for too long. Help them to sit up slowly when you're done and tell them to take their time getting off the bed.
