Promoting nails

I was thinking along the lines of promoting my nails with the likes of photo shoots. For companies that are using models to advertise themselves and I could do the nails but how would I start this? Contacting the photographers or how do I go about it?

Getting in touch with local photographers would be a great start and if you know of a magazine or local paper that you would like to collaborate with you could also get in touch with them.
