I was flicking about online and came across this ridiculous news story that I thought some might be interested in. It may come as news to those of us who were doing this aeons ago at college and those who still do it, but paraffin wax face masks have just been invented by a celebrity facialist!

Appraently it's the new non-surgical face lift, although I fail to see how wax will have any muscle firming or lifting properties! Here's the link just in case anyone offers these as they might find it useful for promoting their services.

love the comments on that news thread, what bull.

Paraffin wax facials have been around for donkeys, But it is easy to play on the lack of knowledge by the general public!

£160 blimey im getting my pot and gauze out and im calling myself a facialist :).

how annoying!
I offer Thermo Marine Facials using a wax based mask at £45.00 for one hour 30 minutes, perhaps I should tre:(ble my price!

Unbelievable!! Mind, maybe we should see it as an opportunity to offer clients something 'new' without any effort or outlay. I definitely feel a new luxury 'celebrity' facial finding its way onto my price list.....

Nothing speaks 'luxury' like paraffin!!

Maybe Dyson will bring out a range of vacuum suction facials next...
