Hi

Just wondering ... do any of you use a sable / kolinsky brush for gel application as opposed to a synthetic brush?

Thanks

Vicky

Hi Vicky,

I've only ever used a synthetic brush with gel so will be watching this thread with interest.

Sable is a type of hair that is way too soft to use with gel.

the tutorial on 'brush control when using gel' .

You need a brush with a hair that is stiff and this means synthetic.

Hi Geeg

Thanks for this ... I DO use a synthetic one and always have ... the reason for me asking is because the educator on the NSI Balance DVD is (I'm sure) using a sable brush and she makes the application look sooooo easy !!

Thanks

Vicky

To give you an idea of how firm a gel brush needs to be, you can use a cocktail stick to apply gel! You don't brush or pat on gel, it's more of a tickle and fairy strokes!!!!!!!

The lady in the DVD is Mandy Rainford Jones and she uses the gel brush from NSI that is the same as mine. It is definately not a Kolinsky Sable brush!

If you go onto the NSI website you will find the brushes on there.

I find the best one to use is the size 4 compact gel brush!

Just re-read this and it sounds really abrupt - don't mean it to sound funny!

I use all NSI products so if you want any help just PM me.
