website- where do i start ??

Hi All,

Iam looking to have a website done, but i am clueless of where to start, i am aware of free ones which seem ok but im not over keen due to other adverts being displayed on there. I also want something personal to me and my buisiness. If anybody can recomend somewhere or someone i would be grateful, also rough price ideas would be good too .
