I've only watched the waxing bit so far ... scissors to trim a bear? OMG it would take me half an hour just doing that before I waxed some of my clients.

And 'Wax Master' ... I couldn't believe that!!

LOL unfortunately girls i wasnt looking my finest, what with having a young baby, opening a business having very bad flu whilst filming... clearly a state! haha

We work in a very judgemental industry where clients tend to be intimidated by made up therapists, i prefer the natural approach. Fortunately i dont need to wear alot of make up.

It was an experience and the show doesnt really allow you to show your best skills as its about them creating a watchable tv show but i had fun.
Its been great for business as it allowed me promote the salon and academy, course bookings have been great and the salon busy, so well worth all the tears haha

I think you've done fab to be opening a salon and training academy in a recession and having a little one too! Which is very hard as I've just started my own business! It just goes to show if you work hard enough and really want it anything is possible! :hug:

i loved it! It was really interesting to watch. I do think though that the times were a little bit tight, especially with the spray tans and make over challenge. Brilliant transformations though =]

I think you should have won also, and to be honest, I think the other one won due to her "sob story". It was lovely for her to win for the memory of her dad, but if she hadn't divulged that, would she have won?

i was actually quite shocked at how kinda average they were does that seem bitchy i mean like the girl who won when they did the waz task she didnt even know what heat the wax should be and had to ask the other girl think they all did really well but think there would be a lot better out there a girl i used to work with was amazing and would wipe the floor with them xxx

I really like your attitude! Well done on the show and with your new business. I think that you did really well and the pressure of a competition must be enough without having to do it on TV AND in front of George Lamb - corrrrrr I'd have been a quivvering wreck!

Unfortunately the competition did not allow us to show a best skills as they decide the tasks which are very basic and each of the girls had different specialist areas. Personally my speciality is eyelash extensions and the competition does not allow these skills to be shown, its very basic and the time constraints put alot of pressure on the competitors.

The will be thousands of therapists who would say they could wipe the floor with the contestants however until they are in the competition this cant really be a true statement. sorry x

well hats off to all the girls really, and i know the pressure you had to go through, my cousin came 3rd in young mechanic last year and he said his judges kept them up most of the night beforehand drinking in the pub, and feeling obligated to stay and impress the judges and to get off to a flying start all the lads stayed out drinking, hence the lack of "general and easy" knowledge the next day.

I think it shows just how good you are just by being within the final 4 so well done
