My two cents. Resist any tendency to clean or scrape under the nail plate. It may look weird but it will flake off naturally although slowly. You don’t want to loosen the bond where the nail plate is trying to reattach to the nail bed.

I see more and more press on nails that look wonderful. I would definitely recommend using them, IF the adhesive doesn’t cause reactions.
