    Maths assessment for course entry

Thank you so much for your response. My basic math knowledge is appalling so I will definitely need some extra help here and have started to look at some online stuff, there's no other way round it I guess than to learn! Fingers crossed I can do it as I feel this has also held me back. Thanks...

    Maths assessment for course entry

I am looking to start a beauty therapy course and have seen that i will need to do a maths and english assessment. The english part doesnt bother me but i am hopeless at maths! I'm worried this will ruin my chances. Has anyone else done this and can you shed any light on what to expect...

    Home colouring help

My worry exactly! Going back to work in a few weeks with Gray roots! Not happening. I found the answer on an old thread so will embrace the grays whilst on lock down but will be DIY-ing when they announce back to work!

    Home colouring help

Hello all! I have bought majirel high lift from Sallys to do my roots at home until the salons are open again. I don't want to use a huge amount, I want to make the tube last for a few applications. This may sound like stupid question but can I measure the ratios in grams? So 10g colour and 20g...

Lash lift, re-using an opened sachet

Hey I have just purchased lash lift products from Lash Base. They say you can get 3 treatments out of 1 sachet. Does anyone know the best way to store an opened sachet so it stays effective?

    Insurance?

Thanks again. Yes I have insurers on there but just wanted to put the feelers out and see who people are using and see how the prices vary.

    Insurance?

Hey, Can anyone give recommendations on insurance? I am only doing lash lifting at the moment but hoping to train in lash extensions in a few months. Will i have to change my insurance policy for this or is it a case of once you have insurance, you're covered for other stuff. I'm not really...

    Lash lift and tint?

Thanks @RosieR for your reply. We used Eye luv lashes as well. I have purchased a lit from Lash Base as their reviews sound really good. I'm sure eye luv lashes is fine but i was slightly put off with my result so didnt want to take the risk. I did raise my concerns with my tutor on the day...

    Lash lift and tint?

Thanks @wowbb I actually did ask the trainer about this on the day and she said it was fine to use a damp cotton pad as long as it wasnt saturated. Maybe its just different brands then. I think i will try the way i was taught and try the way @Htb suggested as well. Fingers crossed!

    Lash lift help

I'm also starting out. Will do a couple of freebies for family and then charge a small rate for friends of friends until i'm more confident and have also built up a few before and after pictures to put out on social media - hoping that will bring the business in! I think almost anyone would be...

    Lash lift and tint?

@wowbb thanks for your input. I am yet to try it on someone so a little nervous and would hate for the result to be what i came away with! - impossible to charge anyone that receives no lift at all! Can i ask which lift products you use? x

    Lash lift and tint?

Hey, Thanks for your reply. I trained with Gateway. At the end after nourishing oil was applied and shields removed, we were told to wipe with damp cotton pads. So do you think the nourishing oil might affect the result too? Do you wipe lashes at any stage?

    Lash lift and tint?

Hey, I have just finished training on lash lifting but I am confused on a couple of things. We were taught not to wet the lashes with water or use anything oil based but at the end of the treatment we used damp cotton pads to wipe over the lashes and applied nourishing oil. Is this a bit of a...
