Please help! Lip waxing people who wear ppe/face masks

Yes I think the masks are causing more sensitivity so they should go home and let air at the area afterwards . Don’t beat yourself up .

    Best shoes for hairdressers?

I have arthritis in my feet and have tried many many shoes over a lot of years . Since lockdown I’ve been wearing Hoka training shoes , pricey but can’t tell you how fantastically comfortable they are , I used to get a bit of knee pain if I was on my feet for most of the day , it’s gone !

    Rude clients

How awful for you . Absolutely your employer should be warning this client that such rude behaviour won’t be tolerated. As an owner I’ve done this twice , as mentioned above the reaction is almost comical, these people are so self absorbed it seems they don't realise the affect their behaviour...

Should I contact the salon who’s work I corrected?

How awful. If the other salon has posted the lashes are they advertised as a particular brand ? Maybe the brand would be interested to see the picture , it could put the ball in their court re dealing with it . If it’s a reputable brand they won’t want that sort of publicity online . If not...

    Not very busy!

It’s very worrying. This is my 31st year in business and I’ve never had such a quiet period . Like most there was a rush after lockdown but it’s slowly getting quieter. I’m reducing to 3.5 days a week from now till December. Must admit December is looking a bit more promising but usually by now...

    Clients wearing masks

It’s just so disrespectful clients behaving like that. I have one who continually removed hers on her first visit . Next visit I put a disposable one on her and I tied the elastic so it wouldn’t move, she moaned about it the whole time . Next visit she appeared with a very obviously fake card...

    Nail tech electric file

As others have said you need to leave well alone now , the scratches are permanent and buffing them out will thin your nails even more and you could even end up through to the nail bed and risk infection and more pain. Apply the oil and keep them covered with at least 2 layers of strengthener ...

    PPE charge

Nice nails aren’t cheap and cheap nails aren’t nice ! We need to stop devaluation of the nail industry, it’s a time consuming treatment when properly done. I’ve heard a salon local to me is doing shellac mani for £12.00 ....... shame on them

    Difficult client

This client would appear to have mental health issues and is using you as a crutch. She may not be intentionally doing it but nevertheless it’s toxic for you and it’s costing you too much financially. The pandemic gives you the perfect opportunity to offload this person, it’s obvious to everyone...
