ASSESSOR’S CERTIFICATE (TAQA L3)

This qualification is for you if you are interested in:

About the Award

This is a Level 3 course which has replaced the old A1 qualification. No formal qualifications are required although you will be working at the appropriate level with up to date occupational competence in your chosen area. To achieve the award you will need to complete 3 full units.

Unit 1: Understanding Principles and Practice
Unit 2: Assess Practical Competence in the work environment
Unit 3: Assess Vocational Skills and Knowledge and Understanding

What will the training consist of?

As part of your assessment you will need to assess 1 full unit with two different learners.

Your assessments which will include:

  • Observation, professional discussion and e-portfolio based assessment
  • Use of real work activities to provide evidence for assessment
  • Flexible learning to suit your ability, learning style and work environment
  • Additional support and guidance from our verification team
  • Accreditation against nationally recognised standards

You are allocated a mentor who win be able to answer any questions. She/he will contact you within 48 hours of registering to introduce him/herself. You may contact your mentor at any time to ask questions and get advice throughout the course. Your mentor will also be the person to mark your assignments.

Your mentor will then help you with your assignments which is submitted for internal and external verification.

How long does it take?

You can complete the course within 5 weeks, fulltime or 10 weeks part time. The Guided Learning Hours for this course is 84 hours.

This is a 15 credit qualification.

Unit 1: Understanding Principles and Practice – £300*
Unit 2: Assess Practical Competence in the work environment – £300*
Unit 3: Assess Vocational Skills and Knowledge and Understanding – £300*

Price includes 90 days to the VLE where you can download videos, handouts and the workbook. You can submit your assessments, once for formative assessment, your assessor will give you feedback and then you can give a final submission for the sumative assessment.

Included in the price is your registration with the awarding body, your assessements and your certification, *excludes vat
