Knock Amy Childs all you like. Yes, she's a reality TV star, but recent years have shown that despite first appearances, there's a savvy business head on her shoulders and her foray into the beauty world seems to know no bounds.
After successfully taking on the consumer market, Childs is now moving into the professional beauty market by opening a training academy, launching a professional tanning range and a collection of salon uniforms later this month.
The Amy Childs Training Academy will offer complete tanning training from application to growing and business, one-on-one training and VIP days which will include lunch with Amy herself.
Childs' professional tanning range will provide wannabe tanning therapists with everything they will need including a compact tanning machine (for mobile therapists) or a larger one for salons. The range will also offer an inflatable spray tent which is washable and lightweight and a collection of products including a 10% spray tan solution, a high quality moisturiser and a gentle exfoliator.
The range will also include retail products for at-home tanning which will be available from October.
The salon uniforms designed by Childs will include lace-detailed designs in a lightweight, high-quality material that doesn't crease and will be available in black, cream, purple and blue colour schemes.
Childs will be launching all this at Olympia Beauty where the uniforms will be available for pre-order. She will also appear at the show's "Celebrity Hot Spot" at 12pm and 3pm where she will be signing products and promoting her launch.
