Hello All,

I am taking part in a charity pamper evening and have been asked to offer Luxury mini facials.

I have done this previously and I did a very basic treatment, cleanse, tone, exfoliate & moisturise. which took roughly 10mins. I think I charged £5per treatment.

TBH it was a bit of a pain as I had to keep changing the water in the bowl after every client and for the sake of hygiene I used only cotton pads which meant I struggled to get all the exfoliant off sufficiently. Is there a better way to do this that I haven't yet considered.

Also set up wise, previously I took my mobile beauty couch but it was hard work lugging it in and up the stairs to the venue. Could I do this with the client seated do you think?

Any suggestions on how to make the most of this opportunity would be very well received.

Hi, if you are wanting to offer 'luxury' mini facials then in my opinion they definitely need to be led on the couch, and i would also ensure that a facial massage takes up most of the treatment, as anyone can pop a mask on at home but no one ever massages they're own face. If you are wanting to use this as an opportunity to get your business name out then you need to make this a memorable experience, one that makes them want to book a full treatment with you next time. i would suggest a minimum of a 15 min treatment, inclusive of a cleanse, massage to inc neck/chest, tone and moisturise. The massage is what most people enjoy in a facial so home in on that, then you can always explain that in a full treatment you exfoliate, mask etc and the benefits ( ie i have noticed your skin is quite dry, in a full treatment i can use a specialist exfoliant and mask that will do x,y,z). Have some little vouchers ready to hand out, ie £5 off a full treatment or 10% off etc, plus include a free treatment voucher to be won on the evening. adjust the price accordingly if you go for 15 mins ie £7.50, you can still do four an hour which makes a decent hourly rate xx
