London's new prestigious Four Seasons' Spa says forget basement retreats - health and wellness should get penthouse treatment. And that's exactly why the spa, designed by architect Eric Parry, sits high and mighty on the 10th floor of the luxury hotel.
To exploit its favourable position, there are nine glass-walled treatment rooms, each with individual relaxation pods and panoramic vistas of the cityscape. Views reach 360 degrees over the treetops of Hyde Park and some of London's best-known historic landmarks.
The spa, which opened last week, also features an ozone-treated, sky-lit vitality pool and state-of-the-art fitness centre. Spa brands include ESPA, The Organic Pharmacy and Omorovicza, some of whom have created exclusive signature therapies for the new Four Seasons retreat.
