Habia has recently collaborated with leading online learning provider MyHairDressers to provide a great new offer to students in the UK. Under the partnership, Habia will assist with MyHairDressers' MHD Student Support Pack in making sure its videos and support materials accurately reflect the National Occupational Standards and meet the needs of students working towards qualifications such as NVQs and VRQs. MyHairDressers will also be offering thousands of discounted subscriptions to the MHD Student Support Pack for Habia members and customers.

MyHairDressers, which began in 2007, has become the industry leader in offering online video tutorials covering hairdressing and make-up. It has worked with such names as Tim Hartley, Josh Wood, Patrick Cameron, Stacey Broughton, Tracy Hayes, Callam Warrington, John Vial and Tracey Hughes, and is the leading online provider for hairdressing in 36 countries. In 2012 the company launched the MHD Student Support Pack, mapping to national and international qualifications.

It is expected that as the partnership develops, online video tutorials for beauty therapy, nails and spa therapy will also be developed.

Richard Lambert, HSA Director, Habia said, "This is an exciting new development for us and for students and educators. The quality of the MHD Student Support Pack videos is second to none, and we welcome their determination to ensure they accurately reflect the standards by working with Habia. Through the partnership, MyHairDressers and Habia will be offering one of the most complete and up to date learning packages available."

Richard added, "It's also great news for Habia's members and customers, as we will be able to offer discounted membership packages to MHD Student Support Packs. That means whether you are a learner, an educator, or even an established professional looking to pick up regular tips, new techniques to ensure you are constantly up to date on the new and latest trends you will be able to find the authoritative resources to take your career to the next level."

Sarah Oglesby, Director of Quality Assurance at MyHairDressers.com, has identified that the MHD Student Support Pack has not only been developed to raise the level of skill attainment but also to assist training providers in meeting the key Ofsted Common Inspection Outcomes of Teaching, Learning and Assessment.

Sarah stated, "Our resource allows providers to standardise skill delivery, focus on e-learning and challenge learners inside and outside the classroom. Our unique interactive hub provides a platform to break from traditional learning resources. It allows our users to develop strong foundation skills that increase employability and opportunities to progress to higher-level qualifications and career pathways."

Sarah went on to say, "Our partnership with Habia is extremely exciting, vover the coming months and years we will be able to adapt and expand our offer to meet the dynamic needs of students, educators and industry professionals while maintaining an emphasis on the National Occupational Standards."

The official launch for Habia's partnership with MyHairDressers will take place at Salon International in London in October. For more information, go to mhd.myhairdressers.com/ or Welcome to Habia.
